Objective: Students will be able to compare and contrast different living environments and they will be able to understand the different factors that affect where and how people live.

Look: What do you notice? What does home look like to you?

Think: Show students other images of homes around the world. Why do homes look different? What factors influence that? How do these factors affect living environments? How is this different from your own living environment?

Write: Give students an exit ticket. What are two things you learned about different living environments around the world? What factors affect those environments?

Standards:

  • SS.Geog2.a.5: Identify how the environment and cultural characteristics influence where and how people live.
