Objective: Students will explore Impressionism and virtually visit modern day places that were important to the Impressionists.
Materials:

Introduce: Demonstrate to students how to use Google Earth to look up the following places that were important to the Impressionists.
Ask:
- Why do you think these places were important to the Impressionists?
- Do you think they are still important to artists today?
Activity:
Go on a virtual field trip to the following places:
A popular bar and theater where Impressionists hung out.
France’s icon, built towards the very end of most of the Impressionists’ lifetime
- Beach at Trouville-sur-Mer, France
