Have students create a simple story inspired by their Museum tour using Voicethread.
Students will need to connect the art from the tour to the concept of community. They should choose one of the works of art they saw at the Museum to begin their story; they can use the Museum Collection site to find images. Encourage them to include the vocabulary and themes that were built in a companion pre-activity.
Using Voicethread, have students first input the image of the artwork they chose, and then record themselves reading their story. The Voicethread can be shared with classmates, parents, and other school community members.
Extension
Have students listen to and then make a Voicethread comment on at least one of their classmate’s stories.
