Objective: Students will use the information they already know about organisms and how they look and function to answer questions with contextually accurate answers.
Notice: I want us all to take some time to think for ourselves. I want you to look at the painting and think about what you notice. I would like you to share your notice with 3 people.
Wonder: Now I would like you to take your notice and wonder something about it. How may the thing you noticed impact the birds physicality? How may the thing you notice impact the environment? We will all go around and share our wonders.
Ask: Based on the wonders you had or some of the wonders you heard from your peers, I want you to think of three questions you could ask. I want your question to dig deeper than your wonder may have. Ask those difficult questions that we may not know the answer to.
Standards:
- SCI.LS3.B.3 Different organisms vary in how they look and function because they have different inherited information; the environment also affects the traits that an organism develops.
