What’s in a Name?

Choose a work of art or several to use in your classroom or have students choose a work of art in the galleries. (Artworks that are Untitled are particularly engaging for this activity.) Give students an index card and have students title the work of art themselves. On the back of the card, instruct them to write  and reflect on the title they chose.  Extension: Have students make their own label about the work of art. What information should be included? What order should it be display?
