Objective: Students will describe the painting. Students will create their own short story about the painting. 

Notice: What is happening in this painting? What are they wearing? What time period could this be? 

Wonder: Imagine you stepped into the painting. What are they looking at? What happened before this moment? After? 

Discuss: Have students turn and talk with each other. Have a talk out loud with the class discussing their ideas. Take time for whoever wants to share their ideas. 

Create: Write a short story (one page) as if you were a character in this painting.
