Objective: The goal of this lesson is for students to observe the different animals
in a picture and identify what kind if environment each animal lives in.

Look: Look at this piece of art. What animals do you notice in this picture? What kind of
environment do each of these animals live in? Why might they all be together now?

Write: Students will put the animals into different categories of the different environments or
habitats that they each live in. They will do this with a small group.

Share: Students will share what their group came up with whole class. This helps to bring art into
science class.

Standard: SCI.LS2.C.3 When the environment changes, some organisms survive and
reproduce, some move to new locations, some move into transformed environments, and
some die.
