Objective: Students will see the benefits animals have in groups and how opportunities for survival are greater than being alone.
Look: What animals are in the picture? How many dogs are in the picture? What are the dogs doing? What is surrounding the dogs and the man? What is the man holding?
Write: Why are there so many dogs and what are they gathered all together for? Who is in charge? Do you think the dogs are working together to do something? Why are they near water?
Share: Have students share their findings with one another in pairs or small groups. Have them share out as a large group and ask about the benefits that animals would have from being in groups this large.
Standards:
- SCI. LS2.D.3 Being a part of a group helps animals obtain food, defend themselves, and cope with changes.
