Find below a list of all the resources on this site related to the exhibition Rembrandt, Van Dyck, Gainsborough: The Treasures of Kenwood House, London, on view at the Milwaukee Art Museum October 12, 2012–January 13, 2013. The exhibition features forty-eight masterpieces on tour from Kenwood House in London, as it undergoes renovation and facilities improvements. Most of the paintings are from the collection of Lord Iveagh (pronounced “Ivy”), heir to the Guinness brewery, and have never before been seen in the United States.

Because this exhibition brings a number of celebrated works by the greatest artists of their periods to Milwaukee, this Teachers Guide includes brief but in-depth entries on a number of specific paintings, as well as an exhibition walkthrough and activities to use in your classroom. These in-depth entries supply background information about the paintings and provide questions to spark discussion with your students.
